Bullying in Childhood has Lifelong Effects

A recent article on bullying published in Psychological Science shows that childhood bullying has lifelong effects that are far-reaching. Remember George McFly in Back to the Future? After years of being bullied by "Biff" he became an adult who struggled (to say the least) with his own confidence and to provide for his family. After his past was changed thanks to Marty (played by Michael J. Fox) he became a confident, successful adult. According to this article, it turns out that the writers for the popular '80s movie were pretty much on target when it comes to the effects of bullying.
